Sundog was delighted to attend the Virgin Strive Challenge fundraising party at the Kensington Roof Gardens last week.
When the charity Big Change wanted to highlight the amazing projects that teach all-important life skills to young children in the U.K. they came up with the Virgin Strive Challenge. The epic challenge was a perfect vehicle to showcase these life skills, like emotional resilience, teamwork and communication. However, The Virgin Strive Challenge was also a chance to raise funds for these projects. The challenge has raised nearly £645,000 so far, and a further £30,000 was raised on the night
We are currently making a series of films for the challenge and Big Change – detailing how those goals helped the Virgin Strive Challenge achieved their goals – and it was a privilege being at such an illustrious event, which featured core team and other Virgin Strive Challenge participants that attended.
Comedian Jack Whitehall, who ran one of the three marathons, introduced the event, and was at hand to pepper wisecracks while also highlighting the importance of the important projects that the money is being raised for. Jack also oversaw the charity auction, which saw a flurry of bids for some amazing prizes, including an entrepreneurial workshop with Innocent co-founder Richard Reed and a poetry session with Karl Lokko.
There was also entertainment from The Voice star Jermain Jackson, who wowed the crowd with his soulful voice.
All in all, it was another successful night for Virgin Strive Challenge and Big Change.
