‘The Truth about HIV’ explores the latest science around HIV, showing how far we’ve come in the last 30 years, but also how far we still have to go. Presented by Dr Chris van Tulleken, this 60 minute documentary for BBC One tells the story of where we are with HIV in the world right now. The story is told through scientists at the cutting edge of research, health professionals and, most importantly, through hearing the human stories of lives affected by the virus. Taking a sensitive look at the fight against HIV, the film aims to dispel the myths and challenge the stigma that still surrounds the virus.
